I have an asus xonar stx in my pc connected via coax for digital input on video 1 of the avr. I also have analogue output from the card going to the analogue input (video) for video 1.
The PC is setup to play music through analogue and video through digital coax. This works fine but I have to select the input source button to change between the two input methods.
In the manual (page 80) it states that under Input mode 'AUTO' priority is given to digital first. If no signal is detected it will fall back on analogue. This would be great if it did but it doesn't - or at least I cannot get it to.
When I stop playback of video the AVR says 'No Stream' so when I play music as an analogue source it should fall back on this but it doesn't change and I have to manually change it on the AVR via the INPUT MODE button.
Any idea as to why it does not switch to analogue when in AUTO?
