the screen of my cell phone turns off when playing an audio whatsapp. What should I do to prevent it from happening?

Listening to an audio on WhatsApp will trigger the proximity sensor as if you are in a phone call. If you're not putting the phone on your ear while listening to those audios, then check if any dust, debris or fingerprints are blocking your proximity sensor near the top speaker. Also, make sure that your screen protector is not placed on it (if you have one).
