Latest Update Issues

*newbie alert*

Hi All,

My Xperia S updated this afternoon to the latest Jelly Bean 4.1.2. I just wondered how I can turn off my running apps now? Previously, you just long pressed the home key and slid them to close. When I long press the home key now, I just get the white page for a google search, this was at first Google Now, but I don't want this, so I turned it off. To help conserve battery life, please can someone help me out?

Is there anything else I should know about this update?

I have tried it but I still have the problem 

Also I need to know  when  I try to enter the APN Manually then Choose SAVE , why its not Saving and APNs Section still empty ?!
