Xperia Pro I Screen Water stains

Hey guys

I just recently bought an Xperia Pro I.  A day or so ago, I was out in the garden enjoying the sun with the phone on the side connected to a Bluetooth speaker. then suddenly out of nowhere it suddenly started to rain , ( good ol english weather) there were some droplets that landed on the screen of the phone. I just wiped it with a microfibre cloth that I use to clean my mirrorless slr and lenses. but then I just notice there were marks on the screen. like dried water droplets you see on the bathrooms with glass doors. it is not visible all the time only on certain angles and when you try to wipe it with damp cloth. it doesn't affect any of the phone's functions. the screen still works as it should. it just bothers me like some sort of coating is being dissolved by the rain. I will try to post a picture if i could manage a good angle of it. any advice?

Sooo. Just an update, I did send my device for repair. it was under warranty. so it got repaired for free, they don't really give details regarding the specifics of repair, but it said on the notes that they replaces 8 screws and 2 stickers, I guess they had to take the whole front glass panel out.

Do you have a screen protector on it? It kind of looks like it also from the edge.It may be between the screen and the protector.

Hi @Corruptedminds

I checked it.. it is definitely glass. No screen protector on. The glass is raised from the metal edges...

Hey there,

At this point I would say that you need to give Sony a call as it might needs to be sent for repair, which really sucks since you said it's brand new.

Cheers,

I am lucky that this problem does not exist in my mobile phone, Rira, I am now in Iran and I do not have access to Sony

I took pictures in bad weather with hail and rain without a cover with Xperia Pro I, I took pictures of lightning, I have not encountered any problems.
