The advert for the KDL-40WE663 shows it has an optic fibre output.
The user manual shows 2 optic fibre outputs,
My brand new tv doesn't have any.
I am using both HDMI sockets.
Any ideas as to how I can use my expensive HiFi system to play audio?

Neither the setup-guide nor the manual show two optical outputs. Also it would be the first TV I have ever heard of that has two optical outputs.

Yes, you can use the a mini-Toslink to Toslink cable (like the manual shows as a small adapter) or simply get an adapter if you want to use your exisiting cable.
