BRAVIA KDL-24EX320 Internet Video Services

I have a BRAVIA KDL-24EX320 which is connected to our WiFi, has been updated with the latest software (PKG4.027EUA-0104) and has had the Internet Content refreshed, but I still only have: Amazon Prime Video, Stingray Qello, YuppTV,  GREEN.TV, uStudio, Tagesschou & DW.

On another BRAVIA (a KDL-22EX553) which is connected to the same WiFi I get BBC iPlayer, Demand 5, BBC News, BBC Sport, Netflix and several more...

Any ideas what is wrong with my KDL-24EX320, I have tried a Factory Reset, but still no joy.

Thanks

Hi Chris,

The reason you are seeing this difference is due to the fact that the EX553 is slightly newer and supports more apps than the EX320. I don't think this is a fault of any kind tbh.

There are other solutions like an Amazon Firestick for example, which you can connect to your older TV via HDMI and use it to access more apps. The same can also be done using some DVD and Blu-ray players that Sony makes if you want to go with that option.

Thanks for responding.

Frustrating that updating the software doesnt add the newer apps.

Oh well off to buy a Panansonic Freeview Play Recorder, wanted to buy Sony as our all home entertainment is Sony, 3 x TV's, Home Cinema/Amplifier/Surround Sound, etc..but Sony no longer offer a PVR...
