bravia remote to control Home Theatre system.

My remote for my home theatre system is missing presumed lost. I have a new Bravia and would like to use the remote for this instead if possible.  How do I set this up.   The home theatre system is about 5 years old and does not appear to have an HDMI or optical cable socket.

I am not really a techie so please be gentle.

Do not worry, we are kind to everybody. So, You can see buttons on Your remote of Bravia in second level, BD..DVD ..AMP..TV

You can program remote to navigate connected device, in Your case is DVD as Home Theatre, and how to do it is described in instruction manual, for example for kdl-40hx800 described on page 28. You did not mentioned which model You have, but You can find it out and chack on simular function and pages, for your model Bravia. Use support page down
