h.265 HEVC to KDL-50W656A

Hello,

I was informed that a Sony replacement mainboard A-1955-079-A should support h.265 (HEVC) DVB-T2. Can somebody please confirm? Is there a need to upgrade processor/other parts as well?

Hi Kubaj007,

As far as I know the main board is the part responsible for all of the operations of the TV, so changing the main board is like changing the whole TV.

I'd personally recommend getting it changed by a professional engineer, also, they are the ones that can confirm whether changing the mother board will make the TV capable of receiving DVB-T2 channels or not.
