Hi, I have just bought a Bravia KDL 40 EX503 and Sony BDPS370 - absolutely fantastic, but I am having problems connecting.
I have Sony STR-DA 1200ES AV receiver and Sony DVD recorder RDR DX D860.
I have not used HDMI before, but bought 3 new cables and connected the BD and RDR into the 2 HDMI inputs on back of AV amp with 2 of these leads (inputs say DVD and other TV/sat) and last HDMI cable from HDMI monitor output on back of amp to TV input. There is NO sound via amp Yes I altered tv speakers to amp)
Also BD would not play.
The only way I can get the BD to work is by connecting it directly to TV via HDMI and running a digital coaxial from it to my AMP.
The DVD recorder will deliver sound and pictures to the TV, but cannot get the Amp to work??
Also how can I put sound from my new TV (with built in Freeview) through the amp.
Am I missing somethig??
