ios remote control app for Sony Bravia KDL40NX703

Anyone know if there is an ios app to use as a remote control for the Sony Bravia KDL40NX703?  The Video and SideView app does not seem to work. 

I've never updated the firmware on the TV.  Could that be the issue?  Mind you the app says it only works with LCD TVs for some reason???

Hi, welcome to the Sony Community 

Certainly the first step to troubleshooting this would be to update the TV firmware. The app should work on your TV (or at least, it's not specifically excluded here) although some functionality has been restricted as of last year.

I'm not aware of an alternative app. LEDs are just a differrent form of LCD technology, so I'd imagine the wording there is to exclude older plasma TVs.
