KDL-26S2030: AV input tag permanently showing

Hi, All

I hope someone can help please.  Somehow, the AV input marker / tag / ident is permanently 'on' which means that if I am watching Sky, I get to see "AV1" permanently in the top LHS of the screen, or "AV2" for DVD's etc.

Any ideas how to rectify?

I also do not have the original remote as I bought it ex-display, but am using a sony RM-V202T universal remote.

I'd really appreciate your help!

many thanks

Nick

Hi Nick,

Sorry I can't help but please know you are not the only one with this problem!!!

I have a KDL-T30 television connected to a HXD1070 DVD recorder via the HDMI cable.
When watching the DVD the AV tag is in the top left corner of the TV and is extremely annoying!!!

Please let me know if you manage to solve this,

Thanks

John

Hi Nick

I know you don't have the original remote but on it is a button marked i+?.

When pressed this shows input info, time and off in that order.

If you can find the equivalent button on your universal then this should do it.

Thanks, john.  Unfortunately my remote does not have this - looks like it might be a trip to ebay to buy the correct remote!
