KDL 40HX803 not working with i player

does anyone know whether  Sony freeviewboxes with KDL 40HX803 TVs enable you to watch BBC i Player?

Your TV doesn't support BBC iPlayer out of the box. If you're referring to a specific box, give us a model number.

Right - the Sony Freeview box model number is VTX D800U.  Does that make any sense?
