My sony trinitron Tv has started to 'flare'. This is more noticable on white or light colours.

The TV is only 4 years old. It is as though someone is quickly turning up and down the brightness. Do we need a new one or can this be fixed?

          Probably difficult to diagnose by mail, but does sound like a problem with the tube (CRT). Although it probably could be fixed it will be costly if it is the CRT.

Best thing to do is contact a service center in your area and see if you can get a free estimate
