I have a Sony KDL-26S2030 - about 5 years old with built in freeview. There is no USB on the tv to do a firmware update. There is an active arial booster on the house system.
When I turn the TV on there is no programme information available for any ITV channels. I need to go onto an ITV channel and then - hey presto- the information for all the channels appears. I have tried retuning the tv sometimes two or three times at once but nothing has worked, the programme info is always missing after the tv has been turned off.
Also, I keep losing signal randomly for any channel at any time. The picture will break up and then the info 'programme not tuned in' will appear at the top of the screen. Sometimes it will retune itself, other times I have to hit the channel button and find the channel again. This seems to happen quite often in the middle of the day. Again I have tried retuning the tv but this doesn't make any difference.
