Picture mode in KDL-32S5500

I have a KDL-32S5500 Bravia TV, currently hooked up to a PS3 and nothing else. When I try to switch between modes in "picture mode" (menu > settings > picture mode) or "scene select" using the remote, the settings remain in place for no more than 10 or 15 minutes before switching back again (usually to "general" or "vivid"). This is very annoying, especially when during games or watching a movie when I have to constantly pause to switch it back to the preferred setting. Is there any way I can prevent it from happening?

This sounds like the set is in "Shop mode", see instruction manual below (Page 7).

"In shop mode some settings will be reset periodically for shop usage.

If you go to menu and select auto start up, you should be able to reset location.
