Sony KDL-40EX710 and iPlayer

Hi,

I'm afraid I can't get BBC iPlayer to work on my TV. The TV is hardwired into my router and other services such as youtube and Demand Five are working fine. When I select iPlayer it boots me out to the channel I was watching previously.

I have downloaded the latest software onto a USB but when I turn on the TV and insert the USB stick nothing comes up on the screen. The screen states that a USB device has been recognised but no firmware upgrade options appear.

The current software on my TV is PKG04.087GAL-0108.

Please can you help me as this is the very reason I chose to buy this TV.

Are you leaving the firmware update inside the folder it creastes before copying it onto the memory stick? You have to leave the file structure intact rather than simply copying out the file itself.

Worth doing a full reset on the TV as well as this often clears any glitches.
