CHANGE HARD DRIVE ON FZ21Z

Hi,

I have a VAIO VGN FZ21Z. I find the original hard drive slow (Fujitsu SATA, 300GB, 4200rpm!!!) especially for VISTA. I would like to change for a 320GB, SATA2, 7200RPM, like a Western Digital for example. Has anybody tried it before? Was it easy and will my VAIO recognise properly the new HDD? Have you seen a good difference?
Well to sum up, is it a good investment?
Of course I have already created the recovery disks on DVDs.
