You indicate that the power adaptor is lighting up, but is there any sign of life at all from the notebook, e.g. lights for power or hard drive? If not then it doesn’t look hopeful.
As a last ditch attempt you could try disconnecting all power sources for 30 minutes plus and then hold down the power button for 30 seconds before reconnecting power and re-booting. I doubt somehow that this will have any effect – but worth a try…
An independent repairer may be the answer, but get a firm quotation before sanctioning any work!
