SVE1512P1EB partition mistake, windows 8 pro recovery needed

Hi 2 all,


I recently bought Sony VAIO SVE1512P1EB preinstalled with windows 8 pro (no aditional DVD or USB for win8).

I consider myself as literate enough, working as video artist for 18 years so far and experienced with windows and mac.

I installed some AOMEI Partition Assistant Pro edition 5.1 software and tried to split the C partition.

The AOMEI restarted and formated for few seconds and after that VAIO can't start. Tried the ASSIST recovery or maintaining system, but couldn't past the first screen, only :( blue vaio screen while trying to restart.

I assume that the partition is affected and that I will have to reinstall it with formating it while installing win8.

The windows is registered online before this. I realised my mistake afterwards when I saw the original wndows 8 pro procedure for partitioning.

I didn't prepare system recovery disc before this, and already tried with my old win7 system recovery disc.

Now I'm downloading windows 8 pro so that I can prepare installation DVD. I want to preserve the windows 8 and all VAIO stuff on it.


Please help!!??!!! If someone had this issue or knows the cure!!!

Hi dekidaf and welcome.


Have you tried pressing the ASSIST button when the Vaio is turned OFF? If this does not open Vaio Care Rescue Mode, then the partition software has destroyed the hidden Recovery Partition.


It is always wise to make a set of Recovery Discs before doing anything else. If you did not make Recovery Discs, the only way to reinstall everything including the Vaio software is to buy a replacement Recovery Disc set from Vaio Support. Although you can download the basic drivers from the Support website, some programs are not available for download.

I already tried ASSIST Rescue Mode and it just tries to restart and couldn't pass.

Yes, possibly the partition is destroyed by the split up. I didn't prepare any recovery discs before, thought I'm making just a simple split partition.... big mistake! Now I know what I did..

I just downloaded windows 8 pro and thought to try installing it.

Should I try that because I already registered the windows prior to doing this stupid mistake!!!?.

Even if I have to do the reinstall later again that's the only choice I have at the moment.


Also Thanks for the contact! I saw it before this on the europe site and I planed to write tommorow since is sunday.

I'll write now and I hope I'll get VAIO installs or prepared windows 8 from them or my provider from where I recently bought it.
