Upgrade memory

I have Vaio SVE151J11M with Windows 8 64bit. I have 4GB ram and was wondering can I upgrade it and by how much? Any help will be gratefully appreciated.

I think you will find your product model is SVE1512C6EW or similar – you seem to be using the chassis model reference.


If so the max. RAM supported is 8GB. Have a look at the Crucial site for cost of upgrade.

Its a SVE1512B1EW. It was on the box. Why do they put a different number on the unit? All other manufacturers put the model number on the unit! Thanks for your help Rich.

The model numbering confuses us all, but often in addition to being on the box it is also on a white sticker on the underside of the unit.
