Hi,
I have posted another message about not being able to get Blu-ray working. From reading other threads it seems that people are using WinDVD to play the disks. That software on my laptop is half-installed. Not listed in add/remove programs but there is a directory in "program files" which contains no .exe file. Also has entries in the registry. When I search for it I find it but the link I find won't run it. There's also not enough of it there to patch it with the downloads from the Sony site.
How do I get a new download of WinDVD? I've searched the Sony site but can't find one.
Hi andoni77ad,
What model Vaio do you have.?
The full version of Win DVD is not available to download, only updates can be found on the Sony Vaio-Link site..
Unfortunately the only way to re-install win DVD BD is to run the Vaio recovery utility and restore your Vaio back to factory settings..
Make sure you back up important data first..
