Another fingerprint scanner issue!

Whilst the fingerprint scanner has always been particularly "finicky" it's all of a sudden ( last day or so) started coming up with "finger moved too fast" warnings CONSTANTLY no matter how my thumb is placed on the scanner rendering the system utterly useless (it wont work at all).

Anyone else come across this problem??

Cheers uli, unfortunately i've already been down that road, as well as many others. I think i'm just going to have to call it a day on the sony scanner, much more cleaning and there won't be a button for me to press!!
