you do not need any kind of anti-virus app for android
those apps just cause problems..and remove mcafee
there is no known "virus" for android OS
We have had a debate on this subject for over 2 years - Some say you don't need one and I say better to have one and not need than to need one and not have - Speaking for experience as an owner of a IT security company I can without doubt tell you that there are many sites out there which now target mobile phones and more and more viruses designed to target anndroid are appearing every day - I could give you a site to test this on which is fine on a Pc but open it via your phone and a whole different world of things happen - So I'd use the free version of Avast which tops the list of free apps and comes 3rd overall for detecting virus strings or you could install Malwarebytes and periodically run scans
There are some viruses out there if installed to your phone will and can keylog your banking details and send them on to someone and another which will in the background dial a pre-set premium number(s) - I believe one was found hidden in a pirate version of Flappy bird after it was removed from Google play - Someone uploaded the game albeit modified to dial numbers in the background and two were found in custom roms
i heard about that flappy bird thing
but i wonder if anti-virus apps can detect it or forbid that app access for or make call
so you say there is a bunch of maleware and trojan apps out there?
Yes and more are appearing
