Backup problems with PC companion

After choosing what i want to back up, it keeps loading for ages, when i leave it for about 25 mins it gets me a location to save the back up then crashes (the window changes to a black blank page) i need help!

I suggest you do not use PC companion to back up media,it is recommended to copy them directly to your PC.Backup only small things like messages,contacts,setings etc.

How to back up messages and contacts and so on?? without using pc companion?

I told you that messages,contacts etc could be backed up via pc companion,media files(images,videos) not.You can also try myphone explorer.
