battery died

My tablet's battery very abruptly died.  I tried contacting Sony, but their support website page is non-functional and will not send them the email.  The device is under warranty still.  Has anybody had success with the phone or the chat support?

What if you call them instead of Emailing them? >>> Local support

I'll be trying tomorrow, when they're open.  

Hopefully it will work without being on hold for hours.

Have you attempted any troubleshooting with the device? And if so can you please advise what you have tried?

The battery is dead. Yes, I have tried troubleshooting.
Calling was a miserable waste of time.
The phone menu would never transfer me to the warranty folks. After 30 minutes, I got transferred directly to a warranty person who disconnected before going through her spiel. After 45 minutes, the next guy claimed nothing was in the system to identify my order, me, the previous calls, the warranty, nothing.

Complete waste of time and waste of warranty and time.

I've tried the local support. That is what didn't work.
