Hi,
My son's cell phone has over the last few days has become practically unusesable because the screen has become practiclly completely black. the only visible part left is the top 1/5 of the screen. The phone was bought 8 months ago.
Does anybody know why this has happened? Might it be a bug? Is there a solution?
Thanks.
You could try Try performing a system repair however this will factory reset your phone
Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the onscreen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process
If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP
If that fails then your only options are to either return your device to the place of purchase or contact Xperia care and request that your device be inspected http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
Thanks a lot for the reply. I´ll try the factory repair and see what happens.
Regards.
Unfortunately the repair process did not fix the problem.
I guess the only option now is to get the vendor to repair it.

I can only suggest a service agent in this case, I have supplied a link below that will help you contact Sony Mobile directly.
