New update has caused lots of issues for my phone, firstly my flashlight not accessible. Also having issues with my web based apps when running them with data, however they work fine when connected to wifi. My camera also keeps crashing. My support is also not working with the diagnostic tests also crashing or not completing. So far i have tried to clear the data/cache from the apps having problems and restarting, i have also done a complete factory reset. With none of these working i also completed software repair using pc companion. Despite all my efforts the problems are still persisting and as i said all these problems only started after the new update, is there anything else i can try to solve the problems?
i do realise this is my only option, however i do find that for me to even have to go through the inconvenience of that and to be without the phone for however many weeks and in the mean time provide myself with another phone is something after only having this phone for 6 months that quite frankly shouldnt be happening, especially when it is down to an update sony have sent out!
Well seeing as sony for some reason decided to delete my last post i will write it again, and if its deleted again i will just post again- it is disgusting the service i have recieved and i will make sure others hear about it! How dare you try to take away my freedom of speech for uncovering what con-artists you are!
My phone began having issues the very same day after i updated the android version 6.0 and then even more issues after the 6.0.1 to the point where my phone had become unusable. My phone had been kept in prestine condition and never dropped or placed in water. As the phone had never had any issues prior to the update i was told it was a firmware issue and to send the phone in and it would be reapired under warranty. I sent my phone is Repair no. 1-26016262948. i recieve an email today quoting £136.76 for repair as there is "a damaged display and external damages" to which makes my warranty void. Absolutely disgraceful my phone was sent in without so much as a scratch, due to issues caused by the update YOU sent out. I see your game SONY- damage my phone to save yourselves money by having me pay for the repair. I THINK NOT! the case has been sent up to be investigated and let me assure you now SONY if my phone is not sent back to me in the exact same prestine condition it was sent off in, with the faults rapired in accordance to your warranty then i will be getting in touch with trading standards, what a way to treat your customers!

Thankyou, i hope so too. Its so disapointing because before the updates my phone worked perfectly- really couldnt fault it, but for the cost of the phone on its own and now to be expected to hand out nearly a weeks wages for myself is just unacceptable, especially for damage i did not do to the phone- really such a shame, i highly doubt SONY will have me as a returning customer!
so sent my z5 off due to a firmware issue that occured afer the new marshmallow update, got my phone back just over 5 weeks ago and iv started getting the same issues as last time, first my camera stopped working, then my diagnostics wasnt functioning properly, it was detecting problems with the camera and system UI, the same as last time, then my screen started going blank but could still hear the phone ring for phonecalls but screen remained blank. was told to do a software repair, did that and just the same as last time, all it did is make the problem worse, My touch screen function is now not working at all, so phone switches back on after repair and i cant get past the startup screen, thanks a bunch sony- you did a great job of repairing my phone- all that money spend and all im left with is a very expensive paper weight- i suppose i will just send it off for repair again and be without my phone for another 3 weeks!!!! and not even so much as an apology from anyone at sony for the fact that my phone has been broken "twice now" by their own software problems- will literally NEVER EVER buy a sony phone again!
