Camera in use by another app

I have this issue with the camera of my Xperia M4 Aqua. I have tried factory reset but nothing works. Since the factory reset doesn't work I am thinking that is a problem with the hardware components Worried_Face Please help me!!

Microphone and Cameras may be locked by other apps and that provoke the issue above or to block the video camera to record audio. Can you try to reboot your phone in safe mode, do the camera works?

If in safe mode works, do you have Google Now set to use the voice control from all screens?

Press the home button until the Google logo appears, Swipe over the logo. Once you are in Google Now go in settings, voice, ok Google detection: do you have the option From any screen on? If yes, disable it. Does it work now?

If not... Do you have any 3rd party app camera installed? Snapchat or other apps that may use the camera?

If after all this the camera still don't work... Try repairing your phone with XC.

I've tried all the options possible...Repairing with XC, Factory reset, etc. The issue manifest without any application installed on my phone. I firmly believe that is a hardware problem. Tomorrow I'll bring it to a sony service in my country. I am very disappointed about this phone and speaking generally about Sony.....  Tomorrow It's the fourth time when i send my phone to a sony service. I have had problems with the camera, microphone, display, touchscreen, everthing... a big dislike for Sony Crying_Face Slightly_frowning_Face

Sorry to hear that, well if it's the case maybe you should ask for a replacement device rather than trying repair it again.

Let us know how it goes and don't be discouraged by only one defective device.
