Can't Find Hidden Folder

Hey,
I just got my Xperia X yesterday and managed to find the Hidden folder in my Albums; I also found out how to edit the navigation pane to remove the option.
When I've gone in today to add the option back to the menu, it won't let me do it - but I have photos in the hidden drive that I need to access. I've tried restarting my phone but that hasn't worked and I'm a bit stumped; does anyone have any ideas?

Settings > apps > album > memory > clear data > restart the phone

I wonder if you deleted the pictures, you can use a file commander to find them.
