charging issue on 3g

when on 3g and my xperia z ultra charging the phone discharges but when on GSM/2G it charges normally...whats the problem??

3G will drain battery faster than 2G, also, LTE 4G will drain battery faster than 3G, keep in mind that if you have poor network coverage it will drain the battery even faster.

Do you experience the same issue in safe mode? I am wondering if apps are updating or transferring data in the background while you're on 3G.
