charging problem / z5

I have a charging problem with my xperia z5. i rebooted my phone and it has not make a different,i have try holding the power button and volume up and that also did not work. 

what keep happening is that i put in the usb and the red light come on but in a few minutes the light goes and it stop charge it.

I dnt know what to do help.!!!

charge your phone using the wallmount adapter, just leave it for awhile 2-3 hours. watch for abnormal signs like overheating etc.

Can you please advise what method you are using to charge the handset, is this via a wall socket or via USB through a PC?
