Connection and drivers issues

Hello,

I am trying to control few SE mobile models such as W595, W705 and more in remote via serial module (Hyper Terminal and others).

After a period of time where things went smoothly I ran into 2 major problems:

1. Only the first device is installed correctly on the pc. All other devices identified as "Other devices” and it takes a lot of time (more than 10 minute) till the second device driver are installed.

2. When I run an automation test which communicate with the SE device via serial (using the comport identified in the device manager as  management) suddenly the device stops response to the serial commands from any serial tool (my application, Hyper Terminal, etc).

What I see is that the device remain identified in the device manager but doesn't response.

When I close the serial session and reopen it I get the response of the previous command.

Can you please advice?

Thanks,

Eiran

Are you talking about a Bluetooth connection?

No, I'm talking about wire usb serial connection.

Sorry for not mention it.....

Try this: Disconnect your phone from the PC, restart both the PC and the phone (use the W595), reconnect via USB in Phone/PC mode and wait a few minutes. Now, can you see the phone as a removable storage drive on your PC?

Hello,

First I would like to emphesize that this phenomenon repeats a lot of time, on a lot of SE devices on at least four types of models: W595, W705, W660, T650.

Second this phenomenon started after about few hundreds of devices which were installed and run correctly on the pc- in the start there was no problems.

Today even after a restart to pc and mobile device the phenomenon reproduced on a stable basis.

Eventhogh as for the lon run your suggestion doesn't work for me becuase my scenario is based on automation, means that I can identify when a device is connected to a pc and then establish a serial session.

Still need your help...

Since it's happening with all those devices, it appears to be a PC rather than a phone problem. Also, since I don't quite understand what you're trying to achieve, perhaps somebody else on this forum can help you.
