When i click on my contact, it gets highlighted but does not open and a message pops up

"Unfortunately, the process com.sonyericsson.android.socialphonebook has stopped".

I would suggest that you try to boot your phone into safe mode to see if the problem may be related to any 3rd party app that you have installed in your phone:

You can also try to clear data for contacts and Facebook. Go to settings > apps>  all > contacts/Facebook > clear data. Restart the phone and try again.
