Cracked glass

I just had the new OS update and my Style cover has stopped working. so removed the cover to attempt to re pair and the back glass is cracked in many places. this phone has not been out of its cover since new. 1: how do i get the cover to work again 2: whats the solution to the glass the phone is always protected, by another Sony product i might add. not been dropped is is shattered.. views pls

Welcome to the community! Since you're new please be sure that you have checked out our Discussion guidelines.

After updating your Xperia device to a new android version you may experience problems using the Style Cover Window. The Style Cover Window should become re-active after doing the following:

1. Remove device from Style Cover Window

2. Make sure the phone has the NFC function turned on & the screen of your device is unloacked & active. 

3. Place the back of the phone over the NFC detection area of the Style cover. The NFC area of each device should be touching. 

4. Put the phone back in the style cover properly & see if it is now working. 

If the above steps has not been able to get the Style Cover Window working with the phone again then I advise sending it into a repair agent along with the phone to have it assessed for you.
