Data connection- Sony Xperia V

So I recently bought a Sony Xperia V and had to change to a micro-sim card to get it all set up. Everything is working fine with it except it won't connect to any data networks. The normal network is fine, full reception, calls and texts. It can connect to wifi with no problem but when i go out of the wifi range it comes up with no internet connection even though I have data on my plan. I have spoken to telstra about this and went and changed the sim card to see if it was faulty with no result. All the settings are enabled which allow data but it simply doesen't seem to recognise that there are networks to connect to Any help would be appreciated

did you check the APN settings? is the right acess point selected?

I suggest you try the following first.

Menu > Settings > Xperia > Internet Settings > Accept disclaimer > Choose network carrier

The settings should then download to the device, access to the Internet via the network carrier should be fine after the above has been performed.

I'm experiencing the same problem..So i followed your instructions but after accepting the disclaimer, it only says 'mms and internet settings succesfully downloaded', and that's it, there's no choosing network carrier option..So what do i now?

my current android version is 4.3

Build number: 9.2.A.0.295

The problem lies with your network provider. I had the exact same problem when I got the phone.

Nothing I(or the people at the walk-in centers of the network provider) could do anything to make it work. They had to call support to make it work. I don't really know what's the problem since the problem is with the network provider.

i have the same problem, my mobile data does not work, even i am regesterd in globe telecom promo here in philippines, my mobile data does not work. any one can help? ive follow the sugestion in internet settings, but nothing happend, it only says internet and mms settings was succesfully download and installed. help me please. any one can fix?

with my new xperia V, I'm facing this problem of not connecting to any network. it's not about wifi, it's the mobile data thing. internet settings were not downloaded and I tried to download it.- settings>xperia>internet settings>accept.

but after clicking on accept, nothing happens. I need to know why I can't dowload the settings.. any help would be appreciated.. Slightly_smiling_Face
