Device had touch issues after delivery

Dear Sir,

Details of my device are as follows

Name: Rahul Singh

Phone nr:

E-mail:

Country: India

Operator: Vodafone

Product(s):Sony Xperia M5 Aqua

IMEI nr:

Build number:E5663

I want to bring into your knowledge that it has been less than 4 months since i had purchased a smartphone that is known to be waterproof, i would like to bring into your knowledge that there were few issues ever since i purchased the device and within less than 3 months i had to visit the service Centre located in our city, where the problem that was diagnosed was of some problem with the motherboard. I was not provided with any stand by handset as per the norms mentioned and i was made to wait nearly 20 days for receiving my handset. Later after the delivery within 2 days again the same problem started to occur that was persistent earlier that is touch panel not working properly and the handset was continuously hanging even after the software update provided by the service Centre, i again visited the service Centre, as iam an old customer of Sony and have good faith in Sony customer policies but, here i was let down by executive claiming that my handset was water logged and the back panel of my handset was open, which was not visible with the naked eye and hence he claimed that the warranty is null and void. Now as per the company claim the handset is waterproof for 1 meter and 30 minutes hence this claim should be void as far as water logging is concerned, as this is purely lack of responsibility on part of the engineer concerned with repair of the handset, or this policy is just to fool the customer and to lure him to purchase the faulty product. Within less than 4 months iam being made to pay for repair and the warranty on the handset has been put to void, if such is the case that the customer has to bear for the fault of engineer or manufacturing defect then it is humble request to please not fool the innocent customer by claiming false facts.

I'm sorry to hear about your issue but this is a user based forum, the way to find out who is at fault it's through a vacuum test, if there's physical damage to the phone, the phone it's unlikely waterproof, which means that the warranty won't cover this.

seems like you have not read the complete thread i had earlier submitted my phone for some issues to the service centre where the problem diagnosed was concerned with motherboard which was changed the handset xperia m5 aqua is waterproof the technician whoever was looking after my device did not pack the phone properly, the opening was not visible to naked eye, from where water logged in the phone and after taking the delivery within two days it had to be taken back to service centre where they declared warranty to be void. here the fault is of the person looking after the service of the phonedue to who's mistake the phone is not functioning properly iam an old customer and have always been satisfied until now

This is a user based forum, there's nothing else we can suggest here other than to contact your Local support.

RahulBajajLegal what uliwooly is trying to let you understand is that me, uliwooly and other users here are just... Customers like you! I do feel great sympathy for what you are telling us but we are not in the position to send you a device or force Sony to repair your device..

You must contact Sony directly, not the service center, and inform them about the accident. Only Sony, at their only discretion, can instruct you on what to do.

In really sorry that this happened to you but we cannot really help you.
