email - unread messages counter wrong -

The email icon on my homepage shows I have 1 email unread even when all visible emails are read. For instance, if I get 2 new emails the email counter shows 3 unread and when I read the 2 new emails and delete them, the counter still shows 1 unread?

Any ideas as to how I cure that?

Remove your email and re-add it, see if that solves the issue

Goto menu choose sort then option unread...
Eureka emails that are unread are there for u to read then clear the unread notification..
