When I lose GPS in Google Maps navigation, it never-ever reestablishes. Can confirm this on both my and my wife's phone. The quickest way to re-establish is to go into the quick settings widget and disable/enable GPS. But you shouldn't have to do this!

Has this only started to happen or has this been happening for a period of time, this sounds although it could be related to software in this instance. Can you please clarify if you have performed any troubleshooting?
This occurs on both my phones (C1905) and both before and after latest system update.
After losing GPS signal, it sits on trying to find GPS signal forever unless I either quit out and go back into Google Maps, or disable/enable the GPS hardware.
