Line out issue with MM

Starting from 6.0 update, when connecting a line out device (speakers / car audio etc) for 10-15 seconds the sound it swapping between line out and internal phone speakers and then it stops. It seems that it cannot decide where to play the audio! After 2-3 attempts the sound is stabilized on external line out device.

bluetooth is also stuttering so it seems that audio connectivity is totally broken on 6.0

(dont ask me to disable effects in audio settings etc, i've tried everything... this is an operating system issue)

@sfortis

Did you try refreshing your Smart Connect app?

- Go to Settings -> Apps -> Smart Connect -> Force stop, Unistall updates, Clear data and restart your phone.
- Go to your Play Store and update Smart Connect again.

Does this also happen if you try the phone in safe mode?

I have the same problem. (Almost) every time I plug in headphones or my AUX cable, the phone is switching back and forth between headphones and speaker for a couple of seconds before settling on headphones.

This appeared after the 6.0 update. I did one system reset after installing because I had that problem and a problem with the small apps. Small apps are now working, headphones still the same.

Tried disabling SmartConnect and Safe Mode. No luck.

This wouldn't be such a terrible problem, but I use tasker to turn on display rotation when I have the phone in my car holder, connected to the headphone detection. Which now goes haywire and leaves me with an unrotated phone or a phone that still rotates after disconnecting the plug.

Edit: Did a software repair through PC Companion. Still the same, nothing changed. 😕

I'm also having an identical issue. Only started after the Marshmallow update. Only happens when I connect line out cords, never headphones.

How is this still an issue?
