lost photos

I recently carried out an update on my phone And inserted a micro sd card. It came up on my phone to transfer images, music and video to my sd card.

When I said yes it started to move them across. It then came up with an error message and now when I go in to my photo album on my phone (not sd card) all the files are corrupted and can't be viewed.

When I plug the phone in to my laptop I get the same. I did find a folder that says thumbnails and all the images are in there but they are very, very low res.

Is there anyway I can salvage my photos as they are all of my daughter over the past year or so?

Thanks

You could try Recuva via your Pc connecting your SD card direct to it and not via your phone - However I find it safer to transfer images etc via a Pc using the copy and paste feature then once your are sure everything has transferred then and only then delete files from internal storage

@moazzamalikhan Try performing a system repair using PC Companion as this will often fix issues - This will factory reset your phone and erase all data

Switch off your phone and unplug from Pc (Hold volume up and power for around 10 seconds)
Start PC Companion and select Support zone then Update my phone/tablet then in Blue Repair my phone/tablet and follow the on screen instructions - When prompted connect your phone still switched off holding volume down or back button - This should start the repair or reformat process

If you are using Windows 8/8.1 or a 64bit operating system then adjust the settings for PC Companion and run in compatibility mode and chose Windows 7 or XP

Dear friends and SONY

it took me whole week end, two days, trying to solve the bootloop problem. but i couldnt, could you please please please tell me how to downgrade back from lollipop to kitkat 4.4.4 atleast i start using the phone as per daily use. by this bootloop i cant do anything, and its very irritating.

the problem comes up the moment i connect the usb cable, the phone starts back this habit, just after solving or resetting the phone from sony pc companion.
