Hi,

A couple of time now I have turned on my phone and had issues accessing the internal memory however a reboot usually fixed it.

Unfortunatly today things are not that simple. 

The internal memory on my device is not at all accessable. My removable SD card has no issue.

Does anyone know what is going on here or how to fix?

Internal - Interesting and strange at the same time - I'm wondering if you have installed some sort of security app which prevents reading and writting of data - As that could or would prevent you from viewing files but will allow you to still boot your device or have you rooted your phone and changed the permissions

No security apps or new apps installed.

No root all is as stock as can be.

Off a pure trying of everything I was able to move my apps from the internal sd to the phone once I had done all of that I restarted my phone and huzzah it is accessible again. I have had a look at my device and it appears I only have ~800mb left so my device internal memory card must have been full! Looks like freeing up the space has unlocked it and the freezing up of the internal memory on earlier occasions must have been due to it getting close to full.

Strange how the device can not use the internal memory at all when full not even to remove data to free up memory it completly locks it up.

The internal memory wasnt even accessible via a computer through PCC.(it is now though.)

I just discovered that for some reason my DCIM/.thumbnails folder had reached 4gb Explains alot as to why my phone got so full.

Well you learn something new everyday - If this issue arises again then I'll have a better understanding of what the issue may be and then be able to pass on that info/help
