No Notification/Keypad Tones

Hello,

Im having a problem and I dont know how to fix it.. tried everything and found lots of solutions but no help.

Ok so everything will be working and I'll hear the notifications/keypad tones to everything however after a while of usage i.e texting or just using the phone in general I will lose all the sounds. Music and homepage buttons still have sounds but texting and notification sounds dissapear completely. The vibration is still there though.

If I restart the phone everything will work perfectly again but I dont want to be restarting my phone every 20mins..

If anyone has a solution or ideas on how I could fix this that would be awesome..

Thankyou!! Slightly_frowning_Face

Hi @Junbear,

Are you able to re-create this while your phone is rebooted in safe mode to rule out this being caused by a third party app? How often does the sound notifications stop working?

Hello,

How do I reboot into safe mode?

It happens whenever im using the phone consistantly formore then 10minutes.

I've found recently that if I let it cool down/dont use it for a long time the sounds will come back.. Could it be a setting I cant find?

In my previous post "safe mode" is a hyperlink, press the text and a new link will open with instructions on how to reboot your phone to safe mode.

How will I know which apps are faulty and which aren't during safe mode?

If it works while your phone is in safe mode then it is most likely caused by an app that you've downloaded. The phone can unfortunately not see exactly which one. I would suggest that you start by updating all your installed apps. Should that not help you will unfortunately have to uninstall them and one by one reinstall them to try and find which one is causing this.

A little time consuming, I know.

A tip: you should always start with the last app you installed or updated,, that way you don't have to randomly uninstall your apps. think of the last time before you had the problem, what apps did you install  or updated, did you move a file,, etc.
