problem with keypad

Hi  I'm trying to connect my arc s to my bluetooth car but when it asks to input the pairing number the keypad does not appear on the phone to enable me to do this. Any suggestions

Is your car compatible with the Android version on your Xperia Arc?

I think so as my wife has an xperia pro and it paired no problem hers is MK16i andoid version 2.3.

. The input screen does not show when pairing therefore the keypad will not come up; Fone is LT18i anroid version 4.0.4

Hi I've just checked the Ford website and the Arc is fully compatable

Try the basic and restart your phone

Hi  I've restarted phone and also done a soft reset still no joy I tried to pair with my laptop and it synced  ok so it seems it is the car  that is the problem though why I don't know my son's i phone and wife's experia pro paired easily

wich android version do you have on the other phone that work?

 Sorry for delay in replying I was getting the sat nav fixed as it affects the voice control and was hoping that this would fix the phone but no joy still the same My wife's android version is 2.3.4

Thanks for the advice I put gingerbread back on the phone and it now pairs with the cars bluetooth and seems to be working  ok so far. I did wipe the phone and sd card prior to this and it still would not pair so it must be the later android version that was conflicting. Thanks again for your help and keep up the good work
