Problem with menu button on W705

I have had a W705 for just over a year and all of a sudden the main button in the middle has stopped working so I cannot access the menu or select things plus the shortcuts around this button isn't working so cannot write messages or play music or anything the only thing I can do is make a phone call.  Has anyone else exerpienced this??  Many thanks.

Sems like a hardware fault. I would send the phone to a service centre or try to update the phone using Sony Ericsson Update Service and see if that fixes it first.
