Proximity sensor does not detect SCR10 lid

Hi i noticed my Z2 was pushing buttons while speaking with the SCR10 lid closed and started to inspect this and downloaded a proximity tester app from play store. I found out that when I close the lid just by dropping it over the screen (like you would normally) it does not recognize anything blocking the sensor. When closed really slowly it detects the lid. For control I tried to block the sensor with other objects including my finger and it works fine (except my leather wallet, so probably related to the material of the case/wallet). I have resetted with SUS and all the usual stuff. Hopefully Sony has fixed this in their next firmware.

Hi! I have the absolutely identical issue. I am kinda worried about whether or not this could be fixed at all. Even more worried if it WOULD be fixed at all, even if possible. Could we get an update to that?

AGREED!!!

When closing the cover, she screen should go off. Mine does not go off either.

Hopefully it is not something that cannot be fixed with firmware update. It makes the SCR10 quite obsolete if it is a hardware issue.

I also have the SCR10, dumb as i am i have bought all Z2 accessories.
Im kinda disappointed that the screen does not wake and lock with the lid, as samsung phones does.
Why? How does it work on samsung? Is it magnetic or do they onky use prox sensor? If so, fix that sony, at least you could fix that tiny itty bitty thing.

Same here. Hoped it would improve with 5.0.2, but it still doesn't work.

Is there any solution in sight?
