Hi, my z1 compact got destroyed, but the sd card where i saved the backup/restore app data is still working, how do i recover that data to my computer via the sd card?
Do you have a card reader to use with your computer?
yes
The media files are available on the card itself, you can navigate to DCIM-100andro to find the photos for example.
As for the other files or specific backups, you need another device to restore them to.
could this be a different brand device even though i used sonys built in back up and restore program? and in that case how?
Well if you used the inbuilt option, don't think you can restore on a different device.
