Is Xperia z1's screen and rear glass scratch resistant????
it easily get scratches.
Both panels have a ASF (anti-shatter film), this is not scratch resistant, you should apply a scratch resistant film
Can i remove AFS??
Yes and no, you can remove it, but you will void the warranty, also if you remove the ASF you will remove the Sony and/or Xperia logo(s), the ASF it is not sold separately
I did not remove the AFS on both side but my screen still have some wear and tear. Does the sony will replace for free ?
Contact your local Sony
http://www.sonymobile.com/global-en/support/contact-us/
My opinion: I don't think so, Sony will have to replace both panels as the ASF its not sold separately
Actually I have to disagree with you here,
The ASF is one of the things that got me hooked on Sony smartphones in the beggining. My wife had a SE Xperia Pro and I had a Moto Atrix / Samsung G S3...
And her phone suffered many MANY more falls to the floor, concrete, pavement and asphalt than mines... and the last time I remember that we checked the phone but it looked good... unfortunate the screen cracked!, BUT it was only a small crack like a hair horizontally across the device... I am completely sure that if the ASF wasn't there in the first place the phone would have suffer what many Samsung, iPhone and other brands suffer of SpiderWeb-like cracked screens...
The main issue is not ASF but to be aware of it and apply a scratch resistant film as soon as you get your Sony smartphone.
And BTW Sony already puts Gorilla Glass and Dragontrail glass to their devices, UNDER the ASF.
