Screen brightness in Stamina mode

Screen brightness in Stamina mode

Why can't I adjust screen brightness on my Z5 Compact in the new STAMINA mode? The phone is now useless when in STAMINA mode in sunny daylight because of the low maximum screen brightness. Do you want us to stop buying Sony products, because the crappy battery life is forcing me to do so? My old Z3 Compact used to last for two days when in the old STAMINA mode, and I could even see what was going on on the screen! Now the battery drains before I even get to start using the phone. I want to see if STAMINA mode will help on battery life, but since I like being outdoors I won't be able to use my phone when the screen brightness is set to be so low! WHY?

If you enable adaptive brightness with stamina mode on then your phone will be just as bright in sunlight as if stamina was off. I may be slightly dimmer but I don't have any problems seeing my screen in sunlight with adaptive brightness and stamina

Thanks! Slightly_smiling_Face But then again the brightness is low when inside the house. I like to have a bright screen wherever I am, which I could with the old STAMINA mode, but not with the new one. Is there a reason why we can't adjust the brightness to maximum in STAMINA mode?

I have the same problem exactly. I have never understood how screen brightness is ever connected to battery saving.
I NEED to see the screen so use the phone if that drains the battery then so be it.
All the other stuff Stamina mode does is what I want.
What I'm suspecting is that this new version doesn't even do that, they've just renamed the useless battery saver built into Android.
I agree, my next phone will not be a Sony.

If; I think this happens a huge mistake by size of Sony; They should fix it.
