Serious software bug - updater re-enables disabled apps

I have always disliked Sony's changes to android, but thankfully most of them can be changed back, most of the crapware removed, and the bits that are installed onto the system partition, disabled.

Theproblem is, the updater app includes disabled apps, meaning the apps I have disabled in the app settings keep returning. Please fix this, its really spoiling my xperia.

I know its not what you want to hear, the apps you spent ages making are unwanted, but Sony have always been and still are poor at software. Please leave software to google and stick to making great hardware like you are now showing you are capable of.

I would love to see android 5 arrive clean and all the crapware (Sony and 3rd party) become an OPTIONAL download as part of the setup process. This would surely speed up your deployment of android versions AND give users the choice.

What you want is a nexus phone or a Sony Play Store edition not a Sony Xperia.

and I have a Nexus5 and totally love it.  it's my perfect phone.   Sadly Google/HTC bungled the Nexus7 replacement - the Nexus9.  Do Sony even do  GPE Tablet?

I love Sony hardware, but the software **bleep** really badly. Just like when you use to buya  Vaio laptop (or HP, or Compaq or Dell), and it was loaded with tonnes of worthless crap that all had it's own UI and all felt tacked on. 

Nothing has changed, the bundling of crap has just moved to Android for Sony.

if I want facebook connectivity, I would download it.  Please don't assume everyone uses Facebook and just install it for me.

What you can do if you don't our apps or their updates is to set Update Centre to not update them automatically under Settings -> About tablet -> Software update -> [menu] -> Settings.
If you have notifications in the notification bar that you don't want to see, go to Settings -> Apps -> All -> Update Center and disable "Show notifications". You can still search for system updates manually in Update Centre.
