Sim Card Problems

Hi guys,can someone help me about my problem?

I don't know what's the problem on my phone but sometimes it says that there is no sim card inserted even though it is inserted,it happens most of the time,and i always had to remove and insert the sim tray with the sim card on it and it is very hassle and sometimes i even had to remove and put it back several times just to get my sim card read,this happened i think when the 4.4.4 update came up,it wasn't like this before. Is there something i can do to help this problem be gone? Thanks guys!

Edit:i didn't bought my Z1 in the actual sony store,i bought it in a authorized reseller. So if my phone needs to be brought in the sony service center,would they fix my phone or i need to bring my phone to the authorized reseller place where i bought my phone and get it fixed there? Sorry for my bad english. :<

Hi,

Have you tried with another SIM-card in your phone? If not, I suggest that you order a new SIM-card from your operator to exclude problems related to your SIM-card.

My previous sim card was also like this,but not as moderate as the sim card i'm currently using. My aunt also had thesame problem as mine,but it was on a samsung. but she immediately changed her phone.

Well, there may be something faulty with the SIM-card reader in the phone that causes this behaviour. But one thing that you could try if you have tried other SIM-cards, is to reinstall the latest software on your phone via PC Companion:

In PC Companion you press start on Support Zone > Start on Update the phone/tablet software > Repair phone/tablet (the blue clickable link in the message) > Follow these steps without having your device connected to the PC.

Follow the instruction that appears in the program and do not connect your device until this guide tells you how to connect it.
